VMware vCloud™ hosting new at SKYWAY DataCenter

St. Ingbert, 2011-09-09, SKYWAY DataCenter is now offering the new VMware vCloud™ hosting service. The partnership with VMware enables SKYWAY to deliver efficient and cost-effective vCloud hosting without losing control over information security. To celebrate the start of the new service SKYWAY offers a limited amount of 30-day free trial accounts for interested customers.

The Cloud Datacenter completes SKYWAY's professional data center services with an ‘Infrastructure as a Service’ (IaaS) solution. ‘With our new service, we offer a cost-efficient and stable IaaS solution for the business sector’, says SKYWAY CEO Roman Schließmeyer. The IaaS enables fast and individual server deployments as well as internal network connections and high-speed internet access within minutes. Anyone interested in a free trial may contact SKYWAY via email to info |at| skyway-dc.com.

With SKYWAY’s Cloud Datacenter users pay exactly the performance they use. As all resources are scaling flexible, they can add further performance and storage at any time. Resources that aren’t needed anymore can be easily returned. Among the benefits of the VMware vCloud™ Hosting service are a lower TCO through tailored resource allocation, individual billing models as well as highest computing power and storage capacity, available on-demand.

Furthermore, the Cloud Datacenter allows a maximum of flexibility and scalability. Through web interface and API access the user has full control over all resources. The data backup is executed automatically; all data remain in the German legal space.

The whole infrastructure is operated in a highly available and completely redundant environment, in SKYWAY’s own TÜV-certified TIER III data center in St. Ingbert, Germany. The data center is powered by 100 % green energy. SkyWay is a fully-owned subsidiary of Key-Systems™ GmbH. The TIER III data center is located in an adjoining building of the Key-Systems™ headquarters in St. Ingbert, Germany (federal state: Saarland).
