Meet Key-Systems at IP Service World

2014-11-20, The Key-Systems GmbH will present its corporate domain portal BrandShelter at the IP Service World in Munich (November 24-25, 2014). BrandShelter supports customers in protecting their company's name, brands and trademarks on the Internet and develops customized strategies for the ideal dealing with the new domain extensions (TLDs, Top Level Domains). In addition to the new gTLDs the trade-fair appearance will focus on the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) as protective option for trademark owners and BrandShelter's comprehensive monitoring services. Product manager Andreas Soll will hold a speech on "Trademark Protection and Registration Strategy in the new Top-Level-Domain Area - Chances or risks for companies and trademarks?". Trade show participants are invited to visit the BrandShelter team at the booth or to schedule an appointment in advance by email (info@brandshelter.com).

Last year the introduction of more than 1,000 new top level domains began, including promising TLDs as .SHOP, .BUY and .BERLIN. The preventive registration of domain names corresponding to all variants of a brand under all new TLDs would be a very expensive strategy. Therefore, trademark owners should inform themselves about the new TLDs to protect their company name and their brand against brand abuse in time.

BrandShelter informs regularly about the current status of the introduction of new top level domains and registers customers' brands and trademarks at the Trademark Clearinghouse, which provides the validation and protection of trademarks under new TLDs. The registration with the Trademark Clearinghouse is required for the participation in Sunrise periods of new top level domains. Further, trademark owners will receive warnings about domain registrations matching a brand in later phases of the introduction of new TLDs and can take countermeasures in time.

“BrandShelter offers comprehensive advice on dealing with the new TLDs and prevents you from misuse of your brand”, states Andreas Soll, product manager of the Key-Systems GmbH.

Furthermore, the BrandShelter team presents its wide range of monitoring services, by which the use of company names as well as trademarks online can be monitored. These services include, among others, social media, content and domain monitoring.

The IP Service World is a must attend event for all professionals, providers and decision makers of the IP industry. It offers an overview of all relevant providers of IP solutions and enables the comparison of tools and instruments which help to professionalize the IP management and to find customized offers.
