SKYWAY DataCenter becomes Key-Systems DataCenter

The SKYWAY DataCenter GmbH is renamed to Key-Systems DataCenter GmbH on the reason of the merger of the parent company KeyDrive S.A. with the CentralNic Group PLC.

2019-01-08, Key-Systems DataCenter

The SKYWAY DataCenter GmbH was founded in 2010 as a fully owned subsidiary of the international domain registrar Key-Systems GmbH and was part of the Luxembourg-based KeyDrive S.A. like Key-Systems. The renaming is part of CentralNic's strategy to harmonize the group and is intended to clarify the affiliation of the former SKYWAY DataCenter GmbH with it.

The St. Ingbert-based company offers IT services with maximum performance, availability and security in its TÜV-certified TIER III data center. It plans, implements and operates individual IT solutions for both business and private customers.

"I am delighted that KeyDrive and CentralNic joined forces," said Alexander Siffrin, Chairman and Founder of KeyDrive and CEO of the Key-Systems DataCenter GmbH. This merger means that the KeyDrive members are now part of a Group that is listed on the London Stock Exchange, so we instantly extend our reach into new geographies and sectors."

The corporate rebranding will come into effect in January 2019. The SKYWAY website and web interface will then be updated accordingly. The known contact persons, products and contact options remain the same.
