Key-Systems launches website for pre-orders under new gTLDs

At Key-Systems offers pre-orders for domain names under new, generic top-level domains (gTLDs) such as .bayern, .berlin, .nyc, .paris, .saarland or .music, .shop, .sport, .food and .car. Interested parties may communicate their interest in respective domain names via the web presence to Key-Systems without obligation. As soon as the registration under the new gTLD becomes possible with Key-Systems, the customer will be asked for a binding pre-registration. It is expected that the first domain names in new gTLDs will be available for registration in 2013. As no applications have yet been approved by ICANN, our system accepts pre-orders for any extension.

“With our website we want to give our customers and everybody interested the new opportunity to make themselves familiar with the new gTLDs at an early stage“, explains Key-Systems’ CEO Alexander Siffrin. “The introduction of up to 1000 new gTLDs is a groundbreaking step in the development of the Internet. Nobody should miss out on that.” Key-Systems COO Thorsten Smeets adds: “Within these evolving name spaces, numerous new premium domains will become available for registration; helps you to figure out your desired domain names and be aware when the time for binding pre-registrations comes.“

At users may check their desired domain names in combination with any extension and declare their interest. The portfolio of possible new gTLDs is continuously updated by Key-Systems. In their login area, users may extend or change the list of their pre-ordered domains at any time. The application window for new gTLDs will be open from January 12 to April 12, 2012. It is expected that the first domain names in new gTLDs will be available for registration in 2013. In addition to pre-orders, Key-Systems also offers solutions for your own TLD. The company is best prepared to support companies and organizations in planning, executing and operating a new gTLD. KSregistry provides registry operation functions supporting all current standards including white-label registry and registrar interface.
