„Thorsten Smeets, Key-Systems' COO was very satisfied with the position: „It was important for us not to be a one-hit wonder among the Fast 50 winners. So we are very happy about the second nomination in 2009 after the very good rank in 2008. This shows that our growth is sustainable and healthy.“
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program honors business growth, technological innovation and entrepreneurial spirit by geographic region. It grew out of a program initiated in the United States in 1995. In the USA and more recently in Europe, the Fast 50 program has expanded into the Fast 500 and is a recognized benchmark of success in the technology industry. In Germany, Technology Fast 50 took place for the 7th time in 2009. Deloitte determines the front-runners of the technology business in Germany by identifying companies' cumulative growth over the last 5 years.
After receiving the award, Key-Systems' CEO Alexander Siffrin looked confidently into the year 2010: The domain industry has not been hit too hard by the difficult overall economic situation, but of course you can feel the impact. We have used the year 2009 to invest in new projects and business areas – for further growth in the next years. Among other things, Key-Systems offers the new portal "BrandShelter" providing special services for the protection and management of corporate domains and brands. Our plans for further internationalization have moved essentially forward with the foundation of two new subsidiaries in the United States and Mexico.
As in past years, the 2009 award ceremony was held together with Germany's leading business magazine “Capital”, which covered the FAST 50 companies in one of its issues.
