The background to this is the environmental pollution, caused by the delivery of several hundred Christmas gifts to customers and business partners worldwide. The company has already selected several possible recipients of donations and asks now its customers and business partners to assist in the percentage distribution of the donation amount. Amongst others the selection includes the WWF, Amnesty International and Greenpeace. The vote is possible until 31 December 2015. The result will be announced in January.
“This year, Key-Systems has decided to send digital Christmas cards for reasons of environmental protection and to donate the previously used amount for the production and shipping of Christmas cards and gifts to charitable organizations”, states Alexander Siffrin, CEO of the Key-Systems GmbH. “However, we do not want to decide independently which non-profit organization should receive the donation and ask our customers and partners for help.”
Besides WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), which is committed to the motto "preservation of biodiversity - a living planet for us and our children" and is one of the largest natural and environmental organizations worldwide, the organization Doctors Without Borders (French: Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF), which is an international organization of emergency medical assistance in crisis and war zones. The human rights organization Amnesty International, the environmental organization Greenpeace and the association of German aid organizations, Aktion Deutschland hilft, are also available for selection.
