The domain registrar Key-Systems, which currently employs over 100 people at its German headquarters and US subsidiary, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in October.

Continuous growth creates jobs

Since its foundation in 1998, Key-Systems GmbH has achieved a leading position in the market for Internet addresses and related services and currently manages more than 4 million web addresses (domains) for over 100,000 end customers, corporate customers and 2,300 resellers worldwide. “Key-Systems is growing constantly and with the merger of KeyDrive S.A., the parent company of Key-Systems, and the CentralNic Group PLC, an even stronger company was created in August 2018 that serves all important customer segments of the domain industry”, said Alexander Siffrin, founder and CEO of Key-Systems. “The merger has enabled Key-Systems to expand into additional geographic markets, add new products and provide even more comprehensive customer support in additional languages.”

From start-up to listed company

The company founded by Alexander Siffrin during his academic studies rapidly achieved successes such as being listed as one of the largest ICANN registrars worldwide or winning the “Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Award” four times as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Germany.

Key-Systems' business divisions include the end customer portal domaindiscount24 since 2000, the reseller portal RRPproxy since 2001 and the corporate domain portal BrandShelter founded in 2009.
