On July 20, 2010 the .CO General Availability (GA) phase will start at
18:00 UTC / 20:00 CEST. Key-Systems will initially transmit all pre-orders.
During the first hours of the launch, new registrations or any changes of
existing .CO domains will not be possible. No later than 23:00 UTC / 01:00
CEST all functionality should be fully available again.

This measure is used to guarantee a smooth General Availability launch.
You and your customers should be assured the highest possible chance of a
successful allocation for the pre-ordered .CO domain names during General

On July 20 between 16:00 UTC / 18:00 CEST and 18:00 UTC / 20:00 CEST the

registrants of .CN domains with the request to confirm their registration information. This actually
means a confirmation of the email address.

The subject of the e-mail is "Domain Name Information Confirmation". The e-mail contains a
confirmation link that must be activated by clicking on it. If the domain name registration information
is not confirmed within 15 days of receipt of the notice, the domain name will be processed according
to the "relevant provisions of the Registry". This may even imply a possible deletion.

Update: CNNIC has informed us that currently the registry does not intend to suspend or delete domains if customers do not respond within this period. Instead the registry is planning to send reminder emails if the responding rate is low.
